Sheppey Scout Active Support - (SSAS)

SSAS is a support group to the Sheppey District and groups within the district.

Our means of support are by filling in for leaders when away through illness, holidays and other reasons.  Providing help at events such as camps, events and other activities where extra support is required.  Providing skills through past activities, knowledge and experiences, mentoring new leaders, and any other reason on request.

We meet on the second Friday every other month 7:30pm at the Sheppey District HQ, Imperial Avenue Minster, as well as discussing requests for help to the district and groups we plan social events for our members which can include district and group leaders, county SAS meetings are discussed and the events they provide and were we can take part, and we try to have a speaker or some form of activity to brighten up our meeting.

Ages for SSAS membership is 18+, open to anyone, members or non-members, no experience required, you will have life skills that you may have that could benefit each group so please put out a word to all your leaders, parents and anyone else, so "SPREAD THE WORD".
